Malas and rosaries are powerful tools for prayer, magic and intention.  Malas are also tactile meditation tools.  We can feel them, we can hear the beads rolling through our fingers, we whisper/sing/or scream our prayers, just carrying them connects us to their power–and they help us to be powerful.  Malas are usually 11/27/54/or 108 beads.   The thought is that if we can say a prayer, an intention or hold a thought for repetition we call that prayer into existence.  The addition of the prayer being tactile brings the physical or lower self into the prayer, it becomes ecstatic.

Intuitive Mala Creation:

We begin with a reading, a consultation and a bit of divination.  We tap into the power of your soul, we open to the divine and we allow your mala to be born.  You mala is a friend that will accompany you as you journey forward.

Through the consultation we will decide on materials, intention, focus and we will let that guide the creation process.

I make malas to order.  I feel that when I make your mala it should be a special thing.  I breathe life, prayer and intention into each bead so that it is uniquely yours.  Today, too many malas are mass-produced and makes me wonder what intention those malas are carrying.  When I make your mala it goes from me, straight to you.  No one else handles it, so it carries the creation energy in its purest form.

Materials can range from stones, wood, glass, ceramic, or seed.  I hand-pick your beads myself from a few locations here in the local DC area.  If you are in DC, we can even go shopping for your beads together.  We will select materials that will fit your budget.  Remember, these malas are used for prayer, they are not meant to be used as fashion statements.   These malas are not only magical tools, but they are extensions of your spiritual energy.  If you show them respect, they will help guide you forward.

If you are looking for a “fancy mala” or something to wear as fashion I can recommend a few websites or shops for you to visit.

I will have a few focus and intention malas on hand for quick ship, but turnaround time for a mala can be anywhere from 3 day to 2 weeks.  Once I have your beads in hand, I can give you an approximate time to expect delivery.  I ship flat rate express mail, and if you are in the local DC metro area you can pick your mala up in person if you like.

Malas can be created for:  specific healing, psychic/magical development, deity alignment and focus, chakra work, abundance and manifestation, etc.

Pricing:

Pricing will depend on materials used, amount of time, and shipping.  Once we do your consultation I can give you a quote.  I may have to do a bit of checking with my sources for pricing on beads, and this will usually take about 24-48hours.  In order to start your order I will have to collect money for the materials.

Remember, malas are not meant to be fancy.  We can use a variety of materials that are less expensive to get you started and moving.  More expensive does not mean that our prayers are more heard.  Beautiful blue glass works just as powerfully as turquoise.  It is our intention that fuels the work, the mala helps us to transmit and focus

Process (FlowCasting) your mala:

• I cleanse and arrange your beads
• I create sacred space
• I pray on each bead
• I seal your prayer with each knot
• I not only do a reading as part of the consultation, but I also listen for messages from your mala.
• I include a card that details what the beads are, proper care and use, and a personalized message/poem/or intention from your mala to you.

Malas that I can create without a consultation.  I still personalize these malas, but can do them a bit quicker. The combinations for these malas came to me through contemplative meditation:

Prayer Strands:

Prayer strands are shorter malas.  The idea is that if we can hold an intention, prayer, thought or even breathe for a count of 7 we can come into a place of harmony and balance.  These are great for on-the-go individuals.  I often use this type of mala as I am walking down the street, at work, or when I am needed a quick in the moment meditation.

I also use these for what I call “prayer blasting”.  This is a quick, fully embodied prayer.  Feeling each bead fully in your fingers, feeling the prayer move through you with the breathe, and pausing fully in the moment.  This is a great technique for those that tend to have anxiety about something in their lives, or if you need to focus fully on an intention.  Say for instance you get an unexpected bill in the mail and you need to shift from thoughts of lack to thoughts of abundance, a 7 prayer blast to shift your focus can make a world of difference.
